How it works

One platform, four audiences, one goal.

AGCONN connects four audiences who depend on each other but rarely share a system: farmworkers, the growers and FLCs who hire them, the training programs that certify them, and the workforce boards that fund the public-side investment. Here is how each side experiences the platform.

For workers

Free, bilingual, three minutes to start.

  1. Sign up by phone

Enter your phone number. We send a six-digit code. No email, no password, no application download required.

  2. Add what you bring

Crops you have worked, languages you speak, certifications you hold. Optional photos of certificates so we can verify them.

  3. Get matched

We surface verified jobs that match your skills, your area, and your availability. Apply with a single tap. Employers see your full verified profile.

  4. Carry your record

Every job and certification adds to your portable skills wallet. Show it to any employer in California — proof that travels with you.

For employers

Verified hiring, no paperwork drag.

  1. Verify your business

Submit your CA FLC license number or grower business identifier. We check it against the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement public registry within hours.

  2. Post in either language

Write the posting once in English or Spanish. AGCONN auto-generates the translation. Workers see it in their preferred language.

  3. Review applicants on your phone

Each applicant arrives with verified contact info, work history, and certifications. Filter, accept, or decline from a phone in under a minute.

  4. Stay compliant by default

AGCONN tracks renewal dates for your FLC license, MSPA registration, and crew certifications. Get notified before any of them expire.

For training programs

Reach learners who are already job-ready.

  1. List your courses

Submit your CDFA, F3, CalOSBA, or county-Ag-Extension program. We list it on AGCONN with bilingual descriptions, dates, and registration links.

  2. Issue bilingual certificates

When a worker completes your course, AGCONN issues an e-signed bilingual certificate to their skills wallet automatically. No paper to track, no manual data entry.

  3. Report on outcomes

See aggregated, anonymized outcomes for your graduates: job placement rate, wage at placement, retention at six months. Useful for grant reporting.

For workforce boards

WIOA reporting, automated.

  1. One worker intake, two systems satisfied

Workers complete a single AGCONN profile. Required PIRL fields populate automatically for your WIOA Title I or Title III caseload.

  2. Tenant-scoped data

Each board operates as its own tenant. Your case managers see only your participants. Data never crosses tenants without explicit consent.

  3. Quarterly export, audit-ready

AGCONN exports a PIRL-compliant file for your quarterly federal submission. Audit logs include every data change with timestamp and case manager identity.

Trust mechanics

How verification actually works.

Worker phone numbers are verified by SMS code. Employer FLC licenses are verified against the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement registry, MSPA registration against the U.S. Department of Labor, and re-verified annually. Certifications are checked against issuing agency records when possible. Workforce boards verify their own organizational identity through Clerk magic-link auth tied to their .gov or .org domain.
